Adrian Ramsay, deputy leader of the Green Party, visited Kent Green Party’s meeting on Saturday 20th June, at Wye. Adrian is leader of the Green Party councillors on Norwich City Council and prospective parliamentary candidate for Norwich South. In the last three local council elections, held annually in Norwich, the Green Party vote has been the largest of all parties standing in Norwich South. In consequence, Adrian Ramsay has a good chance of being elected as an MP in the next general election.

Adrian addressed the meeting:

“Congratulations on your very much improved results. Beating Labour in the South East Region in the European Elections is a tribute to your efforts, and those of other Greens in this Region. A key factor in our success in Norwich has been to move slowly towards leafleting a large proportion of Norwich between elections. Our visibility in the City is obvious to the public throughout the year. Remember, our success in Norwich, becoming the second largest party on the City Council, was built from starting with nothing. If we can succeed in Norwich, then there is no reason you should not be able to gain seats in Kent.”
