GREENS SUPPORT ANTI-HOMOPHOBIA DEMONSTRATION

Kent Green Party supports the demonstration being held in Tonbridge to oppose homophobia.

Steve Dawe explains:

“There was a story in the Tonbridge Courier on 10th August 2012 about two gay teenagers who faced daily verbal abuse just for walking down Tonbridge High Street holding hands. They have had people throwing things at them, they have had  people saying that they hoped that they died. In consequence, there is a demonstration beginning in the Tonbridge sports field near the toilet block at 12.00 noon Saturday 18th August 2012. All supporters of gay rights are welcome to attend and show their support.”
