Keith Taylor, Green MEP, supports Green Party's Tonbridge candidates

Keith Taylor, Green Party Member of the European Parliament for the South East Region, is visiting Tonbridge on Tuesday 30th April from about 1.30pm. He will be campaigning with Green Party candidates Hazel and Steve Dawe for the Kent County elections, in Tonbridge. Keith Taylor says:
“I am very pleased to be supporting the record effort of 43 Green Party candidates for Kent County Council in these elections, in Tonbridge and later in the day in Canterbury. The comprehensive manifesto offered by Kent Greens (1) promises to turn Kent away from the austerity and hopelessness which other parties are offering.
“The three key themes Kent Greens are emphasising in these elections are a message about how we start ending the recession the last Government and the Coalition are inflicting upon us. Opportunity, hope and leading useful lives are behind all these themes:
·       Ending poverty, increasing employment opportunities and improving services

·       Making public transport, walking and cycling the most favoured means of transport
·       Conserving and enhancing the natural environment for tourism, forestry and biodiversity  for future generations.”
